April 24, 1934 – July 31, 2015

Born and raised in Greater Victoria, Bill rarely left his home town or the home he purchased there shortly after his marriage to Judy Neuls in 1963. Bill worked for many years at Burnside Tire, but his leisure time was spent in the waters around Vancouver Island, while the fall found him at home in the untamed BC north, hunting and exploring near the property he loved in Hudson’s Hope. In his retirement years Bill (don’t call me Mr. Dunn) could be found tending his garden and chickens. Always happy to lend a hand to others by taking care of his friends and neighbours and driving those who could no longer get out on their own. He was a charming man with a great sense of humour. “Greetings and Salutations” will forever ring in the ears of those who knew and loved him. Even as his hands began to cripple from his long years of use in all the elements, he would always give you a run for your money at the cribbage board. Predeceased by his parents William and Norah Dunn of Sidney, BC, his sisters, Susan Dunn and Eileen Silver, his brother, Carrol Dunn and his infant child Eileen. He will be remembered lovingly by former wife Judy (Pol) Zwart and their four children Norah (Peter) Pieroni, Jean Marie, Billy, and Julia (John) Lumby, as well as grandchildren Domenic, Olivia, Cameron, Justin, Max, Parker and Cassia.

The funeral will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 785 Burnside Rd W, Saanich on Friday, August 7th at 2 pm.
