Wilhelmina (Billie) Taylor, 95, passed away peacefully in Victoria, BC, after a wonderful long life.  Billie was predeceased by her loving husband William (Bill) Taylor, and is survived by her daughter Sheila and son Iain.  Grandchildren  Kelly, Lesley (Jeff) and Jennifer (Andy); and great-grandchildren Taylor, Cole, Micah, Abigael and Erin.

Bill and Billie emigrated from Scotland in 1954 with their 2 children and lived in Calgary until 1978.  Upon moving to Victoria, they settled in to their coastal life and made many dear friends.

Billie’s kind and gentle nature along with her infectious smile and laughing eyes will be greatly missed.  The house will be quieter now without “Murder She Wrote” and “Perry Mason” playing in the afternoons, and a little emptier without her soft presence puttering in the kitchen or reading quietly in her chair.

Grammie, we loved you deeply as we know you loved us and we will miss you with all of our hearts.  In honour of Billie we request that a flower be planted as a celebration of her life in a garden of your choosing.  An open house will be held at the Taylor residence between 2:00-5:00 p.m., Saturday May 9, 2015 or condolences may be offered to the family below.

Iain, Sheila and family our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. Billie was such a sweet heart, a kind, gentle and thoughtful lady with a great sense of humour and a quick wit. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Hope you find comfort in the time you had with her and the many memories that will remain forever. I will miss our little chats when I call the house. When I called and said “Mrs. Taylor how are you”, she always knew who it was, and replied “Oh Johnny how are you”.
