John passed away on January 24, 2015 in the presence of family.  Born in Minnedosa, MB on February 24, 1952.  Predeceased by his father, Kenneth Ross Sample, John is survived by his mother, Kathleen (Kay) Sample; his wife and love of his life of 42 years, Jean; daughters, Vanessa and Jessica; granddaughter, Selena; grandsons, Cody and Conner; sisters, Lesley (Kevin), Kathy (Steven), Elizabeth (Luc), and Jennifer (Maynard); brother, Joe (Chloe) and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved very much.

John served in the RCAF for 12 years before retiring.  Music was always a part of his life and he enjoyed many different styles. He listened to many of these while spending time at his computer. John’s great sense of humour will be missed. His favourite saying was “I am satiated to the point of suponsification.”
