Thelma Doreen Lee (nee Earls)

Thelma Doreen Lee (nee Earls)

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away surrounded by family on February 24, 2010. Predeceased by son, Bob and sisters, Ella, Rene and Marjorie; she is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Ted; children, Shannon (Richard), Lesley (Randy) and Bill; grandchildren, Phillip, Carmen and Joshua; sister, Evelyn and many nieces and nephews. Mom was born on October 31, 1930 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, where she spent her youth. There she met a young medical student who would later become her husband. They moved to Terrace, B.C. where Dad set up his medical practice. Together they raised four children, many cats and a couple of St. Bernard dogs. Mom was also a busy and gracious host to Dad’s many civic endeavours. In 1987, they retired to Victoria, B.C and continued their passion for travel as well as becoming avid fans of Victoria’s Symphony. Mom was an accomplished pianist, antique collector, little teapots being her favourite and a lover of animals (especially strays). She was a warm, incredibly kind and beautiful person; we loved her dearly and will forever miss her.

A Memorial Service will be held at MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, on Tuesday , March 2nd at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Mom’s honour may be made to a charity of your choice.
