Where do i start to try and explain the emotion in my heart for my dear siter Mary? It is my sincere prayer that Bernie, Sandra, and her sweet family and Robert, will find peace and comfort in knowing that Mary is now able to find rest. May her memories be great comfort always. Dear Bernie and family,

We will greatly miss Mary. She had tremendous strength and determination. She was a force of nature. I can only hope to have half her energy and grit. If she had her way she would still be working, gardening, painting, and improving things around her home. She had no intention of acting her age. She provided a great lesson to us all. Thank you Mary. You made a difference in people’s lives you touched. You will always be in our thoughts.

    Love always,

    Charlie and family

    Bernie and family,
sending our love to you across the miles. Mary, in her kind and generous ways, has left a mark on our hearts that will never be forgotten. She was a gentle spirit who couldn’t help but put those around her at ease, especially in the way that she joked around just to see you smile or laugh. She would always do what she could for others. A beautiful soul is at rest but she will continue to live on in our hearts and memories. We plan to honour Mary by planting a tree in her memory this spring as we know what a strong connection that she had to nature. Bernie, the love and support shared by you and Mary was second to none and a shining example to us all. We want you to know that we will be here for you in any way that we can.
    With much love,
    Bernadette MacFarlane and Family

Our morning walks and the canine/feline “tensions” will not be the same without Mary’s gentle presence. We didn’t know each other well, but the Tanguays are wonderful neighbours. A lady who lived a good, kind life and created lovely memories.

The kids and I want to send our heartfelt sympathy to you during this difficult time. My sister was an exceptional individual that loved those around her with a kind and gentle heart. She would be the first to offer help, send loving thoughts and comforting words to anyone in need. Her loving nature was also evident in the way she cared for the birds around her home and especially her cats. She will be greatly missed but will also be remembered in my thoughts and heart.

Love Polly ( Nova Scotia )

Mary was such a lovely, warm person and we were privileged to come to know her as our neighbor. She graciously cared for our cats and garden whenever we needed her, and even after we moved away we enjoyed her friendship. She was a genuinely caring and warm person, very hospitable and kind. She loved her cats and always kept her home so lovely. We will miss her very much. Our deepest condolences to Bernie and the rest of her family – such a great loss.
