I first met Kathleen in 1984 when Mom and I went out to BC to meet our Paulin cousin. After a few visits and many phone calls and letters, I consider her both a friend as well as family, and will so miss her. She was a wonderful lady, whose interest in the family’s history inspired me to become a professional historian. Much love to her family in this time of loss.

  • Betty and Michael Sudul

Kay connected with Michael in business and with me in PEO.
Such a dear friend. We shall treasure her in our memories.

  • Kristin Nickells

I am so sorry to hear of Kay’s passing. My love and hugs for the whole family. Kay was a wonderful woman, full of life and very down to earth. She had a wonderful sense of humour and I always admired her. It has been just a year since we lost Mom (Perle Nickells) and our grief is still poignant, so it with heartfelt sadness that I offer my condolences.

Kay was so good to me as a boy and in turn to my boys. In company with Brenda and my Aunt Marion they spent many hours entertaining the kids and in turn themselves. Her memory will live on in our hearts. Please accept my families condolences following your loss.

  • Sunny and Chris Pollard

Kay and Mary were our next door neighbours when we moved to Falkland Place. Both greeted us and our children with kindness and open arms and we had many teas and laughs. When Kay moved to her townhouse, everyone missed her presence. The neighbourhood was never the same. We will miss her presence

My husband and myself are near neighbours of the townhouse Kay owned, and in 2006 moved here and got to know Kay. We thoroughly enjoyed our chats with her, and shared her love of cats! Hope someone will take it upon themselves to adopt her cat, and the family I am sure would be delighted. We already have one, or I would take it. I looked up PEO, which appeared in the obituary, and it does sound like an interesting organization to belong to… She told us of her travels and of some of her friends… I wish we had known her when she was younger, she sounded dynamic, lively and committed to useful work and enjoyment of life.

  • Susan Fussell

I will remember her as a lady of dignity and intelligence.
