Kathleen was truly one of a kind and I will miss her deeply and for a long time.

I do have some docs I’d like to share with the family, would a member of the family please email me… I’ll reply with what memories I have of Kathleen.

Kathleen was more than mortal, greater than the sum of her parts, a Lady, a comedian, … she was a gift…

I was sad to read this news. I thought she was a great woman and made me feel welcome when I moved to the Comox Valley – I’m sure you will all miss her.

Thank you also to you leah. I am sure you are a great comfort to my sister Pat out there at the lake. We hope to see you agian next summer when we come up North for a graveside service. Happier times await us once the snow melts, and the grass turns green again.

A full life lived with no regrets. Mom had a positive impact on every single person she met. Truly a person with no enemies. Go with God Mom, hug dad for me.

Thank you Anne and Bill and Lila. Mum’s passing really does mark the end of an era in that Bulkley Valley.I guess the Hagman/Parish era is now finally closed.

  • Anne & Bill Harkema Anne (nee Ruiter)

As kids my sister Dorothy and myself spent alot of time at the Parish home. I had my first taste of Red Velvet Cake made by your mother. I still see her in that Houston kitchen dressed up with an apron on. Also we had 4-H club in the basement of the Houston home.
We are remembering your mother’s kindness to us as kids. We had meals and sleepovers and of course that Red Velvet Cake at the Parish home.

Well, Mum, you had 13 grandchildren and 15 great grand children, just for the record. I know you were proud of each and every one. Missing you lots, but happy you are free of pain and earthly sorrows.

I will never forget you Grannie. Some of the most important lessons I learned about love and life, came from you. Your life and how you lived was truly the greatest lesson about how to treat people, and live with love, kindness, generosity, forgiveness, joy, laughter and compassion. I will admire and love you for the rest of my life.

Thinking of you, and remembering your Mother with fondness may your love for her bring you strength and solidarity as a family in this time of loss.

Miss you already Mum. But we know that you and Dad are lighting up the sky as you dance above the Northern Lights. . . beyond that Great Divide. You both waited long enough. Enjoy God’s love for eternity.
