1917-2014
Elinor McCallum (born Gallup) passed away on July 9, 2014 at age 96. She is predeceased by her parents (Eleazer and Donalda), husband Francis and daughter Donna (Whittet). She is survived by her sons Bill and John (Monica Milas), son-in-law Bob Whittet (Janet Rayner-Thorne), sister-in-law Lina Gallup, grandchildren Chelsea, Tyler and Adam (Lis Hoole), great grandchildren Olivia and Ivy and numerous nieces and nephews.
Elinor’s kindness and compassion were reflected in her community work, volunteering at the Royal Jubilee Hospital thrift shop. She always had an empathetic ear to anyone who came to her for support and encouragement. She was a gentle, supportive and caring person who showed great strength and acceptance in her later years as her health declined. She lives on in all of our hearts.
