July 8, 1928 – November 21, 2011

Donald Hurst McCreesh of Victoria, B.C. passed away peacefully at Beckley Farm Lodge surrounded by his children. He was recently predeceased by his wife of 55 years Jacqueline (Jackie), his granddaughter Stephanie Molholm, brother Ian McCreesh, sister Marjorie Warren and her husband Jim. He leaves behind his children, Rocky McCreesh, Lynn Molholm, Colleen (Steve) Venables, and Jean (Bhagwan) Sangtani; his grand children John McCreesh, Lisa (Andrew) Gawley, Brooklyn Allan, Heather Molholm, Kyle (Lindsay) Wolff, Aaron Wolff, Dariel Filwood; great-grandson, Ryker Wolff; brother Angus (Eileen) McCreesh, sister Eileen (Russ) Waud along with sister-in-law Eve McCreesh and his many nieces and nephews.

Don grew up on James Island, served in the Canadian Navy, and was a long time trucker on the Island. A lover of anything that plied the seas, cut the air and burned rubber, he sailed the ocean blue, sketched and modeled ships and planes, was a founding member of the Victoria Air Museum, built and refurbished boats, and enjoyed tinkering with cars. He also loved gardening, birds and travelling in the RV.

A private celebration of life will be held in Victoria. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Beckley Farm Lodge for the loving care they provided to Don. Jackie considered Beckley Farm Lodge a second home and it became a gathering place for the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to their foundation located at 530 Simcoe Street, Victoria, BC, V8V 4W4. Condolences for the family may be offered below.
