Stefania passed away in her 90th year on February 19, 2014 in Victoria, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Tadeusz in 1991 and four brothers in Canada and Poland. Stefania is survived by her children, Christina Warren (Peter), Janina Botten (Don), Maria Biernacki (Waldemar), Richard Lata (Tammy); 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter. She was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada with her young family in 1964. Stefania had many accomplishments, the most important to her was raising her family. She was a wonderful caring mother, grandmother and friend. The family would like to thank the staff at Luther court and Dr. Neil Crofton for the compassionate care they provided to mom over the years.
Prayers will be offered at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, at 7:00 pm on Monday, February 24, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 4040 Nelthorpe, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2013 with a reception in the church hall. Interment to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Dear Janina Don, Mike & Andrew (family and friends)
One of the hardest things for me to do is to send condolence’s when we loose our loved ones. It’s hard to know what to say, but I remember what my Grandfather told me when I was very young. He said “There’s two doors in everyone’s life, one door is in Heaven, the other door is here on the earth and as long as you remember to keep both doors open you will always have me with you”. I know he is with me, and I know that Stefania can and will be with you all, if you keep that door open here on the earth she’ll be with you every day, cause Heaven really isn’t that far away.
