At the age of 94, Stan passed away peacefully on June 22, 2015 with family at his side. He will be dearly missed by Barb, his wife of 71 years; daughters, Gloria Quarless and Kashalya Milon (also known as Bev),  by grandsons, Mark Quarless (Meghan) and Nigel Quarless (Maryn) and by great-grandchildren, Eli, Evren and Loki. Stan deeply loved his family. He grew up in Victoria and served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII. He was respected and appreciated by all who knew him, and he was always ready to help anyone who needed help. He and Barb loved their trailer and their winters in Palm Springs and they loved boating on West Coast waters in the summer. Stan also loved fishing and woodworking. He enjoyed a full life. We give thanks to Beacon Community Services, to the staff of the Neuroscience Unit at VGH, and to everyone at the Victorian who showed such care and consideration for Stan.

A celebration of Stan’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11th at the Victorian, 1773 Feltham Road, Victoria B.C. Memorial donations can be made to the Mustard Seed, Victoria. B.C.
