March 31, 1953 – May 4, 2014
After a courageous battle with cancer, Sherri passed away peacefully on May 4, 2014. Sherri was predeceased by her father Tom and is survived by her mother Bess and sister Ruth and her family. Sherri was born in Lacombe, Alta., moved to Sidney, BC in her early teens, and later resided in Victoria until her passing. For many her kindness, generosity, and wonderful sense of humour will be remembered. Certainly, Sherri will be dearly missed by family and friends. We express our sincere gratitude for the love and compassion provided by the staff and volunteers at the BC Cancer Agency and Victoria Hospice.
At Sherri’s request, there will be no formal service. A private gathering of family and close friends will take place at a later date. If desired, donations may be made in her memory to Colon Cancer Canada, 5915 Leslie Street, Suite 204, Toronto, Ontario M2H 1J8. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Carolyn Gunstone I may not have known Sherri for long but in that time she became a part of my life and touched my heart. Her kindness and generosity will always be remembered by myself and Max. She just loved Max. It was an honour to have been a part of her team as she battled the cancer. I will miss her very much but remembering her smile will warm my heart.

Karen Barlow I was saddened to hear of Sherri’s passing today, but I hope she is finally at peace now. I have been cleaning for Sherri, for the last few years, and I feel we were also friends. Glad I could be a part of her last birthday in Hospice. Rest in Peace Sherri, you are in a good place now.

Jan Gillies She was a good friend to me. I sorry that I have not been able to get in touch with her the last while. She will be missed, I really hope her and my dog Keno have met up to be together. She certainly loved dogs.
So very sad. A cousin closest to me in age and locale, we had many a long talk about family and life ………….. I am so sorry her journey ended this way, it was a rough road. Be at peace in what undoubtedly will be a better place.
