It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Rose-Marie Carreras. Rose-Marie was born on May 23, 1951 in Victoria and passed away on April 11, 2014 while on a retreat in Sechelt, BC.

She spent her early years here in Victoria and after several years of traveling returned to Victoria where she met and married Juan Carreras. Their life together took them on adventures in Newfoundland, Chile and across the Lower Mainland before settling in Squamish. She spent her later life nurturing her many children with love and selflessness and sharing wisdom and laughter with her many friends and family. She enjoyed gardening, yoga, traveling, cooking, painting, and helping and healing others.

In 2013, she returned home to Victoria to enjoy the ocean and mountain views that brought her so much happiness. She is predeceased by her father, Herbert Joseph Bruch and her mother, Alice Claire Bruch. She is survived by her husband of 27 years Juan Carreras; daughters Claire (Greg), Laura, Helva (Joe) and Karla; sons Juan Joseph and Steven; grandchildren Kayla and Alexander; seven siblings, many nieces, nephews, cousins.

We will all miss her deeply.

To Juan, your children, and the brothers and sisters left to grieve. I am very sorry for your loss. I will remember Rose, brimming over with love, and a true passion for everything life had to offer.
We lit rose coloured candles for her at the Basilica in Edmonton, early Easter afternoon. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
    Love Philomena
