My sincere sympathy to his wife Pat and children. Bob was a great friend and I worked beside him in the same industry for many years and have gained lots of valuable knowledge from BOB.
I will miss you Bob and we had many good moments together.

Pat, I would like to extend to you and your family my heartfelt sympathy on Bob’s passing. He was a prince of a man and had the respect of all of us that had the pleasure of knowing and working with him. His gentle spirit and easy smile for all will not be forgotton. I have wonderful memories of ‘Mr. Armstrong’ as we lovingly referred to him.

Dear Pat,

It is with a saddened heart to hear of Bob’s passing. As you know mom and I saw you today at Bob’s funeral. I just wanted to let you know again how lovely the service was. The video was such a nice touching tribute to a really nice guy.

I remember way back when, we were at Beach Acres with you and your family and the Unwins and others but my memory has failed me, and Bob and Dave cooked a salmon in the sand!!! I was one very amazed kid!! Lots of fun BBQ’s at mom and dad’s during the summer. Fun times. Bob will be greatly missed.

Robert Showers was a Gentleman, Nice Guy. He fought bravely 2 years against a stubborn medical condition.

Thanks to Pat’s loving care and hard work, Bob was able to stay at home with family to battle on.

SHOWERS FAMILY you are so blessed in having Bob as your husband, father , grandfather . A man that was so kind , so positive , so caring , so much fun , sooo real totally himself . So many friends everywhere . I was very fortunate to be a co-worker and a friend of Bob and his family for many years what wonderful memories . Pat and Family:
I was so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing, but of course not surprised. Even though expected, I know it is still a great shock to you, indeed, to us all of us. I was glad to have a little time recently with Bob and was impressed by his courage and dignity as he faced up to his illness. I also know how much he appreciated and was supported by your love and care.
I am out of town tomorrow and will not be at the service, but my thoughts are with you and of the good times I was fortunate enough to have growing up with Bob.
