I was sorrry to hear of Bruce’s passing. Although it’s been more than 40 years since we lived in Belmont Park I have thought of your family many times over the years.

Bruce and I drifted apart once he went to study at UBC and I followed my dreams out East. Bruce was a terriffic friend and the times we shared together as young men in the 70′s bring a smile to my face.

I was so sorry to hear of Bruce’s passing, I remember him as a little Tyke when he and Hugh played in the “Sandbox” in Aldergrove
when they were both about two years old, nine days different in
age as Hugh’s birthday was on September 9th..

It is with great sadness that we hear of the passing of our former Vic High colleague. The Vic High Class of ’79 share in your grief and offer our heartfelt condolences to Bruce’s family. Even though we had lost touch over the years, Bruce wa remembered as a tough but fun loving guy with a happy disposition. He was friends with many at school, including myself, and he will be missed. About 130 grads came together this summer to celebrate of 30th reunion of the Vic High Class of 79. We will remember Bruce at our future gatherings. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time.

In fall 2008 Bruce and I attended tennis lessons together. After the lessons we ran into each other every once in a while at different tennis courts. I didn’t know Bruce well but I was shocked reading about his passing. I hope you will find some strength in this difficult time.

I was surprised and saddened to read of Bruce’s passing in this morning’s paper. Last summer, Bruce answered an online ad my husband, Murray, had posted to sell our old back door. Bruce wanted it because it had a cat door in it. Both my husband and I thought his name sounded very familiar, but couldn’t figure out why. We went to deliver the door to Bruce, and from chatting with him, worked out that he and I had both attended Shoreline Junior High at the same time, while he and Murray had both attended Victoria Senior High at the same time. It was just a brief encounter, but memorable because both of us had independently crossed paths with Bruce in the past. Our sincere condolences to the family.
