I'm so sorry to hear of Richard's passing. I worked with Richard at Royal LePage in London, Ontario. We remember him fondly. He was such a nice man and so devoted to his family. We lost touch years ago. I'm glad to hear that he had been so blessed with many grandchildren and good friends. My condolences to you all.

We just found out here that Richard passed away. I'm not sure if you will remember us but both John and I worked with Richard for years at Royal LePage.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

Thankyou Richard for being an angel on earth, never making a single enemy. A presence in a room that everyone enjoyed..
We will treasure our memories of you, all the fun, joy and lively conversations, your piano, your sailing, your love of Guernsey and Canada and your family, a beer with you at the Guernsey Boat Club,
looking out over the sea on a beautiful evening, or sheltering inside from a blustering gale! No raised topic of conversation was ever dismissed by you, just a warm strength to everyone you met.
My own love of Canada shared with you many and many a time.
Goodby Richard, we will always cherish your loving spirit.
Ronald.

My sincere condolences to Richards Wife and Family.

I first met Richard at the Oak Bay pool. He would tell me stories of

the history and life on Guernsey. I think most of all He loved telling

stories of his little grandaughter. We at the pool were all shocked

and sadden at the sudden Passing of Richard. He will be sadly

missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to Mr Corcoran's family.

My husband and I were neighbours with Mr Corcoran for two and a half years in Guernsey. He was a true gentleman, had a great sense of humour and we really enjoyed our conversations on music, history, Poland and many other things. Everytime I play the piano music Mr Corcoran gave to me before he left Guernsey, We will remember him.

We were very shocked and saddened to hear about his sudden passing and we would like to send our love and best wished to Mrs Corcoran and her family.

I met Richard on the Oak Bay house and Garden Tour and with my friend had a wonderful animated talk about the house he was volunteering at and then about Guernsey. We had read the book The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and he mentioned Theresa's family as being one of the orginal on the island and something about your papers not being destroyed. He loved Canada and his children and we remember him giving that reason for leaving his beloved Guernsey and returning to Victoria to be near them. He was such a gentleman and so interesting with a lovely sense of humour. He really made an impression on us! Our thoughts go out to you and your family at this sad time.

On behalf of the Flag Officers and members of the Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club, Guernsey, Channel Islands, I wish to say how shocked and saddened we were to receive the recent sad news.
Richard was a fine colleague and friend to everyone he knew at the club and even after his move to Canada, he remained a great supporter of the RCIYC, keeping in contact with myself and many other club members.
Richard worked tirelessly on Committee matters and was always on hand to meet and talk with all our visitors to the club. We have a great deal to thank Richard for - his contribution to the success of the club will be long remembered.
I offer our most sincere condolences to Theresa and all the family

Theresa, Claire, Tim and the Corcoran family.
Lily and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Richards sudden passing. We always enjoyed our chats in the lane, or over the fences, and very happy memories of our friendship.
Our Sincerest condolences and sympathy to all.

Like so many of us retirees who work out early in the morning at the Oak Bay Rec Centre, I first met Richard in the upstairs lounge for a cup of coffee and I was instantly charmed by his personality, his joie de vivre, and his unique sense of humour. We also connected because of our ability to speak in both french and English, not to mention our mutual interest in boats and music.
I felt that Richard and I were becoming close friends.

A few weeks ago, Richard came to our home for a cup of coffee and my wife Carol and I really enjoyed listening to him play a few tunes on the piano. I reciprocated with a few songs and we all had a wonderful time.

Please accept our sincere condolences, and our thoughts and prayers are with you.
