    To Dr. Jim Smith
My mother Mary and I send you our condolences.
My friend told us about the death of Becky and I can tell you that we were both very upset. My mother has so many fond memories of Becky and loved her as if she was her own child. After moving to Slovenia Becky once called and said she would someday come and visit but now will not get the chance. My mother knew Becky since she was born and had the chance to see her grow and helped out with family home for 19 years. Before moving to Slovenia Becky gave my mom a Teddy Bear which my mother still has and cherishes. Dear Becky you will always be in our heart.

I have just learned about Rebecca’s passing and I am devastated. Becka & I have been close friends since 1999 when we worked together at Color Your World on Hillside Avenue. Her wonderful smile would light up a room, and her sense of humour always giving a lift to us all. The many long conversations we had over things life threw at us would always end in laughter and confirmation of our love of one another. I will so miss talking to my friend! We spoke only days before her passing, talking excitedly about my upcoming wedding and looking forward to seeing each other there. Becka passed five days before that day, but I know now that my friend was there looking down at us and sending her love. I cannot comprehend a world without my smiling, compassionate, wonderful friend. My sincerest sympathy to her family, for they have lost a beautiful soul and must miss her terribly. I take comfort in the knowledge that she was happy in her last days and I know she is now at peace with her beloved Mom. You will forever be in my heart dear Becka….Love you…Sandy Gamble

I’m so sorry to hear of Rebecca’s passing. I literally just saw her the week before her passing still so vibrant, helpful, funny and chatty as usual so this is quite a shock. I’ve been going to pharmasave monthly for eons and enjoyed the staff there including Rebecca. Sincere sympathies to her family and loved ones.

I am so sorry about the passing of my good friend Rebecca. She was a wonderful person and a great friend. We had so much fun together. I could never had made it through difficult times without her, she was always there for me. She was kind, compassionate, and generous and had the greatest sense of humour. Sadly there are few people like that in the world today, she was truly one of a kind. I share in your grief at our sad loss. I will never forget all that she did for me & how much she meant to me. My sympathy to the entire family and her many friends.
    Love you always Rebecca RIP

I am deeply saddened to hear of Rebecca’s passing. I worked for many years in the building where Pharmasave is located. During that time, it was such a treat to see her almost daily and have a little chat. She never failed to make me laugh or brighten my day. When my little one was born she presented me with such a generous and thoughtful gift I cherish it to this day. Even though it had been a few years since I worked there regularly, when I popped in occasionally I was touched that she remembered my name as well as my daughter’s. To her family and friends, you have my heartfelt sympathy. May happy memories always bring you comfort. Rebecca, you made a difference.

It is still hard for me to believe I would be writing on a wall for my best friends passing & sending condolences to her family, whom I have never had the opportunity to meet yet due to location. She was a part of my family since we were 18 yrs old.
Anyone who I had mentioned of her passing noted how much they were touched or humoured by our Beckster, Becky Wecky, Rebecca, or our silly inquisitive girl.
I wish her family my condolences as she was a very special person who will be forever missed by her extended families and friends as well. RIP my dearest friend Rebecca. Our friendship will always remain tucked inside my heart until I get to high five, or hug you once again. Natalie & Jacob Bob Bob xo

We were just devastated on Tuesday the 15th to hear of Rebecca’s passing . I had just had the best visit with her on Sept 4th at the store. She was in the best of spirits. Rebecca was a pleasure and a joy. And very caring and generous. She will be greatly missed. We met Rebecca when she joined the Pharmasave team and worked with my daughter, Meghan. We all became fast friends and appreciated her sense of humour. Our family enjoyed a few dinners with her at our home immensely – there was never a dull moment. We had just discussed her coming over again soon, as it had been way too long, she said she would really like that….
Rest in Peace Rebecca, you will not be forgotten.

  • Johanne Sherber

So sorry for your loss Kate and Harry. Your sister Becky was taken from this world far too young. It’s always the good ones. Big warm hugs for both of you.

I just wanted to add that Rebecca was also a part of my family (the Rentz’s). Rebecca and I were friends for 24 years. We were roomies for several of those years. We also lived together at my Grandma Ida Rentz’s house. She will be dearly missed by all of us.

I just came across this obituary accidentally. I am so sorry to hear of Rebecca’s (I never called her Becky) passing.

She had a constant, beautiful smile and a big heart –always willing to help. Pharmasave was lucky to have her on their team. I hadn’t seen her for a few years when I bumped into her there one day and it was so good to reconnect.

My condolences to her family and friends.

    Pamela Grant
