Phyllis passed away at Victoria General Hospital on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Born on April 9, 1924 in Halifax, NS, she was the daughter of Louis Edward and Bertha Evelyn White. She was predeceased by siblings, Doris and Jack and her older daughter, Alana. Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Vernon; daughter, Jackie (Larry) Crain of Victoria; son, Ewen of Burnaby; brother, Karl (Marie) of Deepbrook, NS; four grandchildren, Heather, Sean, Andy and Cam; one great-grandchild, Lyla Mary; brothers-in-law, Gerald of Florida and Jack (Jean) of West Vancouver. Phyl will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in NS and the West Coast.
A funeral service will take place at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 9691 Fourth St. Sidney, BC on Thursday, January 22nd at 1:00pm with a reception to follow in the Church Hall. Inurnment planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, 938 West 28th Ave. Vancouver, BC, V5Z 4H4 or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
