Pauline died peacefully, early on August 1, 2015 in Victoria, BC.  She was born on March 21, 1923 in Gravelbourg , Saskatchewan.

Predeceased by her husband, Maurice, in 1984 and her brothers and parents; Pauline is survived by her children, Don (Debra), Carol (Rick); her grandchildren, Erik, Lauren, Christina and Emma.

Mom spent her childhood in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains in Fort Steele, Bull River and Cranbrook, BC.  After graduating from Mt Baker High School, she joined the RCAF and during WWII was stationed in Tofino, Pat Bay and Jericho Beach.  In 1947, she married Maurice in Vancouver where Don and Carol were born.  In 1957 they settled in Victoria where they owned and operated the Cambridge Motel until 1976, when they retired to Gordon Head.  Mom spent the next decades travelling, gardening, playing cards, and going for coffee with friends and family.  In the end, the big C got her, but only after a courageous battle at the age of 91.  Mom will always be remembered for being smart, strong-willed and practical.

A funeral mass will be held at St Joseph The Worker Parish, 753 Burnside Road West, Victoria, BC at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 8.  A reception will follow in the parish hall.
