  • Margaret Kent Curren

I am happy I got to meet Pauline on one of my visits to Aunt Rene and Don’s; and got to visit with her for a short time thru telephone and mail. They were both a great source for sharing family history from so far away . We learned so much we didn’t know when Rene came to Canada and from Paulines geneology. I guess Mom didn’t have anyone to talk family history with. All three are greatly missed.

Pauline was a very special friend to our family for more than 40 years. She had a big heart and ready smile. She would babysit our children when we asked and she even adopted our cat when we moved. She was always willing to help others. We will miss her and never forget her.

My condolences to the family and carers of Pauline.
Pauline was a childhood friend of my late mother Irene Caston nee Lawrence. they lived next to each other in Gillingham Road, Gillingham, Kent, England until Pauline left for Canada after which they communicated by letter. Since my mother’s death I kept in touch with Pauline and I shall miss our Christmas communications and the newsletters that Dorothy sent me from time to time.

My sincerest condolences to the other branches of Pauline’s wide spread family. Although I did not ever meet Pauline we had many telephone conversations and email correspondences some years ago and then very kindly through Dorothy was kept informed of how she was in later years. I will truly treasure the beautiful family genealogy she worked so very hard to compile it is a joy to look at and must have taken her such a long time. Rest in peace now Pauline lots of love Sue xxx
