September 22, 1952 – September 24, 2010

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Pat. He was a loving and devoted husband to Debbie; a dedicated, caring father to daughter, Shannon (Steve); son, Jeffrey (Hilary) and playful Papa to Kayden – his dear “chalking buddy”. Pat was “little brother” to Dan (Marg) and Kath (Dale); uncle to Kimmy (Geoff and Jenna), Kevin, Leah (Ryan, Jakob, Ali), Sean, Ashley and John. Pat will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. We were all touched by Pat; his joyful spirit; his knowledge and experience on and off the ice; his compassionate heart; his thoughtful ways and his uncanny quick wit! Pat has gone to join his parents. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juan de Fuca Minor Hockey Assoc. would be genuinely appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Juan de Fuca Kinsman Field House, 1767 Island Highway, (Colwood) Victoria, BC V9B 1J1 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2010. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com.

I was saddened to read of Pat’s passing…my thoughts are with you. Pat will be so missed by everyone whose path he crossed. He was an ardent supporter, benefactor, coach and great friend to JDF Minor Hockey. Always a character whenever Alex and I ran into him at the arena…a joke to share, a smile to charm…and a twinkle in his eye! As an ex brother-in-law…he was pretty special as well. A memory I will always carry of Pat is the image of him, very early one morning, sneaking (well…let’s call it crashing!) through the window at the apartment on Oswego! Those were crazy times and we never knew exactly what Pat would come up with next! A great guy who matured into a truly wonderful friend and coach (on the ice and off!)…to everyone he touched. He will be missed but never forgotten.

We are saddened by news of Pat’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Pat was a great person and we got to know him a little when he lived in Surrey and when we visited Victoria – always smiling and a great sense of humor. He touched a lot of people and we know he will be missed. Sorry we can’t be there at the memorial but we’ll be there in spirit.

Debbie, Shannon, Jeffery and family. Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Pat. We are truly sad for your loss. Pat was a terrific person. Even though it has been a while since we last spoke with Pat, we still remember his wit and dry humour and that quirky little smile. Again, our sincere condolences.
