I am glad that she was with her family when she passed away and hope that she is now being carefully looked after in Heaven. My thoughts are with her family and her friends, although I only knew her as an employee of CNIB and found Pat to be a very nice person and I know she did help many people. When I encounter setbacks in life, God in wisdom and love sends me a message of hope and empowerment - and then I just have to pay some attention. Pat became a beacon for me, a light never held under the bushel-basket, and an amazing example of stewardship. Certainly she would never be caught burying the lump of gold, but would work diligently with every gift, and encouraged me, amongst so many others, to do the same.
