It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Nathan on January 14, 2016. Survived by his father, Patrick; sister, Samantha; stepmother, Jessica; stepbrother, Christian and stepsister, Hayley along with other close family and friends. Predeceased by his mother, Sandra and uncle, Mark.

In his short life, he made a huge impact. He was one of the most generous and kind people you could have ever met, he cared so deeply for those close to him. That was only one side of him, he was also the bacon fanatic with any and everything bacon flavoured, the guy who would watch jeopardy and actually know some if not most of the answers, and if you asked him about any car, he knew the answer. He was the quirky guy, the stubborn old man, the animal lover and family man all at once, and that was what made him so special to us.

One of his greatest accomplishments was being able to graduate on time after working hard to fit four years of schooling into three. It may have been a struggle for him every day to get up and go to school, but he persevered and made his family so proud to see him receive his diploma.

He will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life with a reception to follow will be held at McCall’s Downtown, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 21, 2016.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Victoria Youth Empowerment Society. For youth ages 16-18 suffering from mental illness, as this was the only place available for support.

May he now find peace.
