It is with great sadness that we, the family of Mary Winnifred Macspurren, announce her passing on December 30th, 2015.
Mary was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia on April 15th, 1939, to Cecilia MacDougal and Roderick MacDougal. Mary was predeceased by her mother, Cecilia; brother, Michael; nephew, Michael; special friend, James Morton and finally and most tragically, great grandson, Tristan.
She leaves to mourn her daughters, Cheryle and Patricia; grandchildren, Varek, Ethan, Jennifer, Melanie and Tonny – as well as great grand children Hannah, Arianna, Paris and Brianna. In addition, she leaves behind her first cousins, Diane O’ Handly and Roderick O’ Handly. Mary remained very close to Diane during the course of her life, communicating regularly, up until the weeks leading to Mary’s unfortunate passing. Mary also leaves behind sister-in-law, Monica (Tootie) husband Curtis; nieces Lynn, Dena, Jill and families. Mary will be profoundly missed and will remain forever in our hearts and prayers.
