Sadly missed by her family, Margaret Elizabeth Gwynne (nee Humphreys) passed away peacefully on 25th of May 2016, at age 95 after a brief illness.
Born in Victoria on 17th July 1920, Margaret enjoyed almost her entire life in Victoria. Predeceased by her son John Brynmor, and husband (lived apart) Maurice Jerome. Margaret leaves son David (Theresa), daughter Anne (Frank), daughter-in-law Diane, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild!
Margaret joined the Canadian Women’s Army Corp in 1941 and contributed as a switchboard operator, stationed at Fort Hood. An early member of James Bay New Horizons, Margaret enjoyed bowling, cards, bell ringing, Scottish and line dancing, and multiple other activities – it was her “home away from home”.
Family welcomes Margaret’s friends from her community to a celebration of life; to be held at the James Bay New Horizons Centre, 234 Menzies Street, July 16th 2016, 1:00-4:00pm, refreshments will be served.
