Ceferina Fernandez passed away peacefully on Sunday, 22nd of May 2016 in Victoria at the age of 91. Born in Ballesteros, Philippines, she moved to Canada in 1988 and attained her full citizenship five years later. Ceferina is preceded in death by her husband; two sisters; and her son, Mario. She is survived by her seven children: Bella, Florentina, Remedios, Virginia, Rosario, Wilfredo, and Nestor; fourteen loving grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at McCall’s, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 6:30–8:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, 740 View Street on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11:00am.
