November 3, 1918 – November 17, 2015

Bo Tai passed away peacefully at home on November 17, at the age of 97. She was predeceased by her husband, Dang Sher Bark; son-in-law, Yau Hon and granddaughter, Ena. She is survived by her son, Douglas; daughter, Gum Jun; grandchildren, Michael (Sharon), Diane (Bob), Jerry and Wilson; great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Karen, Kevin, Debbie (Steven) and Christopher. Bo Tai was a kind loving person who cared deeply for her family. She worked tirelessly with her husband, Sher Bark in their greenhouse on Livingstone Avenue and were well known for their wonderful crops of Fu Gua, tomatoes and cukes. After leaving the greenhouse, she cared for Dang until his death in 1979. She never gave up her love for growing things and could be seen either in her flower garden or veggie garden out back. Bo Tai was a good cook and loved her Mah Jong which she played every chance she got. Special thanks to Dr.’s Woodley and Williams for their care of Bo Tai. She was so appreciative of their gentleness and thought the world of both of them.

There will be no service by request.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Kitty’s Café (City Centre Hotel, 1961 Douglas Street) on Saturday, November 28, from 4:00 to 7:30 for all her friends to gather and share memories and stories about our dear friend Bo Tai.
