1918 – 2014
Norris passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 30, 2014. He leaves his loving wife, Shirley; his two sons, Robin and Michael and his two stepchildren, Donna and Mark. He also leaves seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was a veteran and survivor of World War II. Many thanks to the nurses and staff at Victoria General Hospital, Broadmead Lodge and Dr. Luckhurst.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 2:00 pm at McCall’s Downtown, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, with a reception to follow in the McCall’s Family Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victoria Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation, 4th floor, Richmond Pavilion 1952 Bay Street, Victoria, BC V8R 1J8. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

We were saddened to hear of Norris’s passing. We think of the two of you often and reminisce about our voyage together and our visits to your home since.Whenever I meet a navy veteran I share the “Unlucky Lady” book and the material Norris passed on to me. I always share some of the stories Norris told me.
We will miss him but look forward to visiting you when we come out to Victoria this summer.

Norris was a shining light in our square dance club. He supported Cathy and I as we started out and always offered a joke and we both liked to talk about the Canucks.
I felt very privileged when he talked a bit about his war time service.
He will be missed.
