Born in Rossland, BC, February 25, 1917. Died August 29, 2015 in her 98th year. Norma died peacefully attended with the loving care by the nurses at St. Charles Manor in Victoria, BC and by her long time personal caregivers Teri, Lynn, and Cathy who were with her in her final moments. Norma was predeceased by her husband Orville. Norma was the oldest of four children (Claire, Mildred and Douglas). She is survived by her sister Mildred, her sons; Boyd and Rick, grandchildren; Erika, Vanessa, Kim and David, and many great grandchildren. Having lived in many parts of Canada during the war years, Norma and Orville settled in Montreal in the 1940’s where they raised their two sons while pursuing active careers. In 1973 they retired to Victoria. Norma will be sorely missed by the many close friends she and Orville made there over the years.
A memorial service and reception will be held at McCall Bros. Funeral Home, 1400 Vancouver Street, Victoria, BC, Thursday, September 3 at 2pm.

Donna Cunningham It was a pleasure to know Norma. We met Norma and Orville in 1970’s. Norma and I rode the bus together many years and shared some wonderful memories. Many times we met and had coffee with her and Orville and in the past
Norma alone. She has been inspirational to myself and my husband Bart. She will live on in our memories as an exceptional individual and a caring loving mother.
Wonderful memories of dinners for Thanksgiving and special occasions over the years with Orville, Norma and Marilyn and Gordon. Norma always had great stories to tell whenever we were together.
Was a pleasure to have known her and to have her as our neighbour. Several times in years gone by I would see her walking up Granite Street and pick her up and take her to door with her few groceries from the Oak a Bay Village. May you Rest in Peace dear Norma.
