KOHNEN Mary “Winnie” – Peacefully on October 28, 2009 in Victoria, in her 90th year. Predeceased by her husband, Phil, on January 27, 1987 and her granddaughter, Carley, on March 29, 2007. She is survived by two sons, Phil (Lorraine) and Chris (Brenda); grandchildren, Ladine (Dave) Crowell, Brad (Renee) and Terry (Tamara) and their families. Private cremation and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined; tributes, if desired, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. 107 – 1001 Cloverdale Avenue, Victoria, B.C. V8X 4C9.

    Phil & Lorraine, Chris & Brenda and Family,

    Just wanted to let you know how very sorry I was to hear of Winn’s passing!
    I have many good memories of Winn from my days in Victoria!
    She was like a surrogate mom for me, at times & always had an opinion and advice on how to handle the various challenges that life threw my way.
    We both enjoyed the spaghetti at Pizza Hut, shopping (usually at the Bay) & once in a while hanging out at the casino, which was definitely one of her favorite pastimes.
    Winn was such an unforgettable character! I’ll always have fond memories of her!!
    My thoughts & prayers are with you all at this time of loss.
