Passed away in Victoria, BC June 14, 2015. She was born in Lawn, NF October 3, 1923. Predeceased by her loving husband, Gordon in 1985. Survived by her daughters; Gail Dodd (Bliss), Colleen Lamb (Maurice) and Linda Jones; grandchildren; Scott Dewar, Jessica Vanzetta, Kevin Dodd, Kimberly Bastarache and 5 great grandchildren. Rita was a long time member of the CWL and volunteered at the Royal BC Museum for many years. She also enjoyed her many travels abroad. Rita was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:10 pm at St. Patrick’s Parish, 2060 Haultain Street on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 with a reception in Our Lady of Lourdes Hall, followed by interment at Royal Oak Burial Park. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
