Unfortunately, due to a prior committment we will be unable to attend the Memorial Service, but would like to take this opportunity to extend our condolences to the family. We first met Marv during his service in HMCS Sioux in the 1950’s and although our paths went in different directions during the remainder of our careers, we have crossed paths on numerous occasions, in particular after retirement in Victoria. We have fond memories of News Years Eve Dinners with Marv, Marg, Bill and Anne at each others homes and other occasions when we met. He was very well respected and will be sorely missed by all whose paths crossed over the years. Again, our condolences go to all members of the family over your loss.

Marv and I served the same master in Trenton when we were young. He as a JAG officer and I was an engineer. He was a delight to work with. He was always “spot on” professionally and his humor was delightful.
I remember him fondly and am sorry to hear of his passing. He served us all well. Bravo Zulu.

I was saddened to learn of Marv’s passing. I knew Marv for over 35 years including the years when we were both members of the JAG Branch and for the years subsequent when he was with the Bureau of Pension Advocates. He was always a stalwart and highly effective counsel for members and former members of the Canadian Forces and never tired in his efforts on their behalf.

Marv was always a person with a quick laugh and quicker smile. The world will be a lesser place without Marv and I know you will miss him greatly. Please accept my condolances.
