It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father Marko. Born in Salopek, Croatia, Marko came to Canada with his young family in 1960, taking great risks to provide a better life for his family. Marko is predeceased by his parents, Marija and Mile Pavlicic and his former wife of 36 years, Marica Markovic. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Jad Beckett, Susan (Eric) Lott; four grandchildren Leslie, Kelly, Rowan and Marcus; his sister, Dragica and brothers; Vlado and Drago; numerous nieces, nephews and God’s children, as well as, countless family and friends both in Canada and Croatia. He was a proud man who lived life on his own terms. He loved the company of others and will be fondly remembered by those of the Cadboro Bay community.
A Prayer Service will be held at Sveti Leopold Mandic Catholic Church, 4081 Gordon Head Road, at 7:00 pm Tuesday September 29, 2015. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 11:00 am, also at Sveti Leopold Mandic Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victoria Hospice Foundation. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
