Passed away suddenly but peacefully on February 25, 2014 — two days before her 82nd birthday.

For many years, Ann was an elementary school teacher and vice principal.  She was very active in the church and enjoyed sailing, cooking and entertaining family and friends.

Ann will be missed by her husband, Tom and their children Fred (Susan), Martha (Dan) and Amy (Scott), grandchildren; Carolyn, Erin, Nick, Megan, Cameron and Lauren, and sisters Sally and Mary. She will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher and friend.  Our hearts ache as we say goodbye.

A memorial service will be held Mon. March 3rd, 2pm, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Douglas and Broughton Streets, Victoria BC. A reception will follow at 3pm at the Coast Harbourside Hotel, 146 Kingston St. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Victoria Hospital Foundation in Ann’s memory.

  • Marie Lapwood

Dear Tom, I send my deepest sympathy to you and your family on the death of Ann. I treated her as a massage therapist for several years. During those treatments we shared many wonderful stories of our lives and families. We laughed a lot, and even cried together. She was a wonderful woman and having lost my own mother when I was 23, I know there will not be a day that goes by where you do not think about her. Cherish the love and happiness she brought into your lives and may these traits be passed down for generations to come.
    Thinking of you,
    Marie Lapwood.
