February 4, 1923 – December 10, 2014

The eldest daughter of Fred and Rita Frost, Mum was predeceased by her son, David, her sister, Barbara and her husband, Alan. She is survived by her four children, Ken (Jennifer), Kathy (Eric), Heather (Duncan) and Paul (Zuzana), grandchildren, great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mum was born in New Westminster and lived in Vancouver until 1965 when the family moved to Victoria.  Mum was an avid gardener, bridge player and tennis player. She loved her family and was a proud stay-at-home mum. Mum and dad had an active social life and they loved to entertain both their family and friends at dinner parties and other social gatherings.  She was a great cook. Mum was a dedicated reader of newspapers, history and literature, and she was very passionate about social and political issues.  She also loved to share knowledge and she often saved special newspaper clippings for each of us on various topics she knew we were interested in and she was always on the look out for a new recipe or an interesting restaurant. Mum took a keen interest in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s accomplishments and she always thought each of us were special. Mum and dad travelled extensively in Europe and North America and she was especially fond of England, but she was always happy to be home with her family and friends and working in her ever-evolving garden. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

The family will be holding a private memorial in honour of her wishes.  Condolences may be offered to the family below.
