Marion Doris Jordan

Marion passed peacefully on August 24 in Victoria at the age of 90. Born in Winnipeg Marion was raised in various small Saskatchewan towns before her marriage to Harry Jordan, RCMP. Mother to an active family of four boys she travelled the country as required by The Force. The family eventually settled in Victoria where she remained for the balance of her life. Predeceased by her Husband in 1978 Marion turned to education achieving an Honours History degree at the University of Victoria. Marion is survived by three sons – Patrick, Donald and Ian – nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The fourth son, Terrance, tragically passed in 1994, a cancer victim.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Oak Bay on Saturday, August 29 at 10 a.m. A small reception will follow in the Parish Hall. Internment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marion’s memory to the Constable Ian D. Jordan Bursary Fund at the Faculty of Law – University of Victoria.
