  1. Sharon Evans says:

    Dear Mom
You are not only my mom you are my best friend
You meant the world to me and I will miss you so much
I have so many beautiful memories of all the special times that we have shared together:
    Watching our Flames and Stampeders
    Friday afternoons at the Legion
Weekend shopping and ending up at the Casino DIng Ding
Just sitting at home and chatting
These are just a few of my memories as there are many more but I just want you to know how much I love you and of course I will be sad at moments but then I will remember all our memories.
Everyone here has been wonderful and so caring and helping me through this difficult time we are so lucky to have such caring family and friends.
As you know Alan will be here for me and that we will have a wonderful life with lots of love and laughter just like you and dad.
I LOVE YOU MOM AND WILL MISS YOU
    Sharon

I cannot put into words all that Margaret meant to me-but thank goodness I was able to tell her personally.

I’ve shared many happy memories and I’ve shared a lot of pain with her-I’ve laughed I’ve cried but all treasured no less-
and I thank Sharon and Lisa that they allowed me to be by her side in death I’m honoured and privilege to have spent the last few hours with her-I already miss you
Margaret and feel a great void.

    love you, always
    Kay

  3. Tannis Battie says:

    To Lisa and Sharon,
My thoughts are with you and your family since hearing of your Mom’s passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I have many happy memories of our families growing up together on Cannon Road. Whenever I think of your Mom, I remember how much fun she was. The football parties at your house were a blast – you could hear your mom cheering across the park! She made the best roast beef, yorkshires, and gravy ever! and I loved the Knees Up Mother Brown. Even amidst the tough times, she had such a strong character and I am so happy to have been influenced in my early years by your mom (still Mrs. Evans to me!)
    With love and blessings,
    Tannis (Marson) Battie

  6. Don and Maureen Marson says:

Our Dear Lisa and Sharon—We were so sad to hear that your Mother passed away. We know that you will miss her a great deal.
Our families had such fun with the Cannon Rd. neighbours. I remember one time when your Mom was going out to the airport to pick up Mrs. Milthorpe. Marg was sad that there weren’t any spring flowers out yet so I rushed out and bought some tulips in bloom and planted them along the side of the house to greet them when they returned. We all had a good laugh. Now we will shed tears as we say “Good-bye Dear Friend–We will not forget you” Our Love to you dear Sharon and Lisa–

  7. Frank and Mary-Lou Konrath says:

    Dear Sharon and family,

Margaret was a wonderful friend that always took the time to stop and say hello when you saw her.
The L..A. at #292 Pro-Pats will miss her dearly, always there when they needed her.
Frank and I will always remember that she took the time to come all the way out to Metchosin with Stretch to wish Frank a Happy 65th Birthday.
Margaret’s day of suffering and pain are now over.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

    Mary-Lou and Frank Konrath.
