August 5, 1929 – May 18, 2015

Madge passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy illness. She was born in Regina and lived there until 1953. She spent her childhood summers with her parents at their cottage at Regina Beach, where her love of swimming began. Here in Victoria, she worked in the Air Survey Division, Dept. of Lands, where she met and then married Bill Taylor. She then stayed home to raise their children. She enjoyed holidays with the family in their own little trailer, and a favourite destination was Skaha Lake, where she taught her children to swim and later introduced her grandchildren to a love of the lake life too. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 59 years, Bill, children Alan (Linh) and Linda (Wynn), and much loved granddaughters Lindsay, Megan, Tiffany, and Carol. Although Madge had a quiet personality, she was greatly admired and has had a lasting influence on those around her.

Madge, you were my anchor in life.

The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and caregivers who helped to care for Madge, especially Joan.  Condolences may be offered to the family below.
