Messages of Condolence

  1. Jennifer Park (Willis) says:

My deepest condolences to you all. Lorna made such an impression on me as a young girl in the bowling community. I admired her honesty, integrity and sportsmanship. She was truly a role model for younger females growing up in the sport of tenpin bowling. It was a pleasure to have known her.

  2. Jim Dar Woon says:

My deepest condolences to Ken and the family. It was an honor to have shared some of Lorna’s time as an officer of the bowling associations we served on. It was more pleasurable watching her perform on the lanes at various national events. Bowling has lost another treasure.

Lorna (aka momsy) was a beautiful lady. She loved her 4 children (Rick, Tarey, Leigh and Shari) beyond compare. This amazing woman taught me that life is short and money will not compensate for love. I will miss visiting her, sitting at her kitchen table, and hearing about her life and trials. God bless you momsy. I was honoured to hear about her bowling days and her induction into Canadian Hall of Fame for her accomplishments. She will always be in my heart, and forever on my mind. Love you momsy – Patti

  9. Hazel McLeary says:

I’d l like to offer my personal condolences and those of the Canadian Tenpin Federation to Ken and family.

Lorna was a great competitor and brought accolades to Victoria, British Columbia and Canada for her skill on the lanes.

She also gave back to the sport with her leadership as President of the Victoria Women’s Bowling Association and President of the BC Women’s Tenpin Bowling Association. Lorna represented BC for several years as a director on the Canadian Tenpin Federation.

I was fortunate to work along side of Lorna at all three levels of the sport and witness her accomplishments in 1981 in Winnipeg at the American Zone championships. I was always impressed with her dedication, determination and skill level.

  10. Beth Gracey says:

Lorna volunteered for many years as a hostess at North Park Manor. She was always ready to help anyone, always smiling, and a good friend to the rest of our volunteers. We miss her at our coffee meets in the Hillside Mall.
