Merlayna I love these words by an unknown author: “Your Mother Is Always With You. She lives inside your laughter. She’s the place you came from, your first home and she’s the map you follow with every step you take. She’s your first love, your first friend, your first heartbreak and nothing on earth can separate you, not time, not space, not even death will separate you from your Mother. You carry her inside you.”

Thinking of you and your dad.

A remarkable woman and a remarkable life. Such wonderful memories of her on the farm near Beadle. I still have a recipe for her Double Chocolate Chip cookies after having eaten way too many of them on the farm. Reconnecting here in Victoria was a pleasure and our families share so many memories. Her wonderful laugh was a joy to hear. Our family from Beadle is keeping all of you in our thoughts at this time.

My condolences to the Johnson families at this sorrowful time. Elaine was such a remarkable woman and although we didn’t see the family often, I have very fond memories of her from both Kindersley and Victoria. She was one of those people who was loved by everyone who knew her, for her sparkling personality, her kindness and her genuine interest in others’ lives.

We are sad to hear of Aunt Elaine’s passing. Thankfully she went peacefully and with her family’s and Uncle Merv’s support and love. I will always remember Aunt Elaine’s delighful laugh, or was it a giggle… and laughter was always close at hand when Aunt Elaine was nearby as she saw the humour in most situations. I am sure you will all miss her wonderful presence for some time to come. Love to you all and special love to you Uncle Merv…hang in there! Joan
