I was saddened today to hear about Ken. For the very short time I knew him , I figured out he was quite a character. His infectious grin and he beaming blue eyes said it all. John and Jodi, you have lost a great friend, brother and part of your everyday life, but you will always continue to have precious memories. RIP Ken until you all meet up again !

I can only hope that the good memories of the past are enough to gently push aside the sadness we are feeling these passed days. When I think of my cousin, Kenny, I see a great mop of blonde hair, beautiful blue eyes, and an infectious boyish grin that always made me smile. That is the way I want to remember him. The way we were when we were kids. As long as we live there is no escaping saying goodbye, so today will be a day of condolences, hugs, love and peace. I hope everyone is thinking of Kenny with a kind heart, because he was always nothing but kind to me.

We will miss Ken here at the Community Centre and within the community! For many years Ken volunteered tirelessly each year at our Christmas Dinner, usually for a 12 hour day. Often he would fix anything around the Centre that needed a repair. While before my time, I know that Ken was involved in Blanshard (now Quadra Village) Community Centre over many years. Condolences to Ken’s family, friends and the community. Take good care everyone!
