January 6, 1928 – January 31, 2015

It is with deep regret we announce Kay’s passing at the Royal Jubilee Hospital on Saturday, January 31, 2015.  Kay is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Raymond; their daughter, Lawnie (Dave); grandsons, Scott (Shelly) and Bryce; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Carol, Lillian and Mahleiha. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Mary and six siblings; Maye, Lee, Peggy, Harry, Bill and Terry.  Kay grew up in Saskatoon before moving to Victoria, B.C. and later, retiring to Parksville, B.C.  Kay’s legacy will live on in the memories of all those who knew her through her love and compassion for her family and friends.  Mom (Nana) we feel honored to have known you, privileged to have walked beside you and blessed to have loved you.  The family would like to thank all the caregivers on the 7th Floor North at the Royal Jubilee Hospital – Patient Care Centre.  You truly were her angels during the past three weeks.

Private family service was held February 10, 2015 at McCall’s in Victoria, B.C. with interment following at Hatley Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

    We are all very sorry to hear of Kay’s passing. Although it has been many years since we have seen Kay, we have often spoken of her and Ray and wondered how everyone was. Sonia, Larry, Ruth and families.
