Jordan Alexander Myers (Baker)

Jordan Alexander Myers (Baker)

Passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospice Centre on January 9, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 28 years.
Jordan was born on October 29 1983 in Edmonton Alberta. He quickly grew up loving baseball, football and all kinds of other sports. He moved to Brentwood Bay when he was 9 and simply loved it out here on the island. He grew up larger than life with his witty little one liners and funny jokes where ever he went. He followed in his big brother’s footsteps when he decided to be a painter which became very soothing for him. Jordan had a great group of friends that he would do anything for at any time. Jordan’s life will be celebrated by all his family and friends forever.
Lovingly remembered by his mom and dad, Kathie and Jim Baker; brothers, Ken (Janet), Brent, Jamie (Ashley) and Jim (Lisa); sister, Lindsay (Tony); maternal grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to all the doctors and nurses at the Royal Jubilee Patient Care Centre, Floors 7 & 8, and the BC Cancer Agency.
No service by request.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Agency.

  6. Janet Schuitema says:

Please accept my sincere sympathy on the passing of your son Jordan. I am very sorry that he is no longer with you. No doubt, this sad event has been very disturbing for you and for the many other people who knew and cared for him. Your loss is huge, and I can only imagine the hurt you feel and wish I could find the words that would relieve your pain. Losing a child is one of the saddest life experiences possible, and words of true comfort are difficult to find. I know that he touched many lives and will be missed greatly by all of us who were blessed to have known him. Please know that I am thinking of you in your sorrow, and accept my condolences and my hopes that within time you will be comforted by your memories of the good times together while Jordan was alive. Jordan will not be forgotten, as he will always live on in our hearts

With warm regards to you all

I am so sorry to hear of your tradgic loss. I always looked forward to seeing Jordan, he was so kind, respectful, and easy to talk with. I was one of the clinic nurses that saw his leg wound heal. He said that he appreciated how fast I would do his dressing, he was always so patient and easy going. I’ve been overwhelmed at work and his kind compliment has made me laugh several times and helped me get through the day!

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Maren.
