Jim was born in Fogo, Newfoundland on February 1, 1935 and passed away on April 10, 2014 at the Gorge Road Hospital. After completing his University education in Saskatoon, he spent most of his working life in Calgary. He took early retirement and moved to Victoria in 1990 to enable his elderly mother to remain in her house that she cherished for many years. Predeceased by his father Nathaniel in 1977; his mother Elsie in 2003 and his brother John in 2007. Survived by his brother Peter; his special friend Natalie in Calgary and many close friends from his University and working days. Cremation has taken place and a Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date. We would urge friends to celebrate his life in any way they choose.
