February 23, 1932 – September 23, 2010

Jacqueline Dariel McCreesh (nee Bligh) formerly of Regina Saskatchewan, only child of Clarence and Evelyn, passed away in her 78th year surrounded by family at home. She was recently predeceased by her granddaughter Stephanie Molholm. She leaves behind her husband, of 55 years, Donald, formerly of James Island; her children, Rocky McCreesh, Lynn Molholm, Colleen Venables, Jean Sangtani; her son-in-laws, Steve Venables and Bhagwan Sangtani; her grand children, John and Lisa McCreesh, Brooklyn Allan, Heather Molholm, Kyle and Aaron Wolff, Dariel Filwood and great-grandson, Ryker Wolff. Jackie was formerly involved with the WAC in Regina and worked at the Parliament Buildings before she was married in 1955 and moved to Victoria. With husband Donald, she helped establish the Victoria Air Museum, Al-Anon Chapter ‘Power of Change’ in James Bay with daughter, Lynn and worked as payroll clerk at Saanich Peninsula Hospital for over 20 years. Jackie belonged to the same Bridge Group with her close friends for over 50 years and started her own home based business, ‘Barbie’s Fashion Outlet’ of which she was a regular at local craft fairs. Mom spent many early years sailing the B.C. Coast and loved to travel and explore in the RV with dad. She was a rock hound, enjoyed casino, cruises, and music. She was extremely versatile and creative in many areas. She enjoyed sharing the family home with relatives and friends. Mom touched many lives with her charitable and creative nature and we will miss her sense of humor that she maintained to the end of her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Victoria. Grateful thanks to friends, family and professionals who supported and cared for mom, including Victoria General Hospital, BC Cancer Agency, Victoria Hospice Society and support services. Donations to the Victoria Hospice Society in Jackie’s memory will be greatly appreciated.

We saw the sign, ‘a promise kept’
an eagle soaring high
over the view you loved so long
over the ocean sky

  • Toni Nieman

To Don, Jacque’s kids, and all of her extended family,

I’ll always remember Jacque as a very gentle spirit. Unfailingly ready with a smile for everyone. We always had good laughs when we would exchange our “casino ” stories. She clearly loved Don, and all her kids, as was evident whenever she shared special memories with me. She will be dearly missed.

May your gentle spirit be at peace,

    Sincerely ,
    Toni Nieman
