Isabel Lee passed on to Heaven on December 26, 2014. The third of six children, she was born in Victoria on May 25, 1924 to Dick and Doi Oi Lee. After graduating from Victoria High School, she worked for the B.C. Provincial Government-Tourism.   Isabel was a member of the Oak Bay United Church. She volunteered with the Victoria Intercultural Association. After her sister, Anna, was widowed, she helped to raise her nephew and niece. Much appreciated by her family, she was an avid knitter, seamstress and baker. She journeyed with her family to Asia and Europe numerous times. Isabel was known for her kind, happy and vibrant personality. Isabel was predeceased by her father and mother; brothers, Gum Tong, Gordon and Kenneth and her sister, Muriel Peyrek (Dick). She is survived by her sister, Anna Ling; nephew, Chris Ling (Darlene); niece, Margot Ling; grand nephew, Robin Ling (Minako and great grandniece, Aila) and grand nephew, Ryan Ling.

A Memorial Service will be held at McCall’s Bros. Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Royal Oak Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to Our Place would be appreciated.

    dear Anna and family… please accept my sincere sympathy for the loss of your sister Isabel . she was always so cheerful anytime we met up with each other….and it has been so many years that we have known each other, starting with our Chinese United Church…where our parents also attended….on Fisgard Street. our lives certainly changed over the years..and so it was always good to see you when we would attend our class of ’49 reunions ..luncheons…..please know that my thoughts are with you and your children …she will be missed by many and remembered by all who knew her…..Due to a previous appointment, I will be unable to attend her memorial service.please know that my prayers are with you. anita (der)
