Iona Arlene Beecroft

Passed away in Victoria, BC on January 4, 2012. She was born in Keeler, Saskatchewan on January 10, 1922. Iona moved to Victoria in 1938. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Fred and granddaughter, Christine. She is survived by her son, Wayne (Elaine) Beecroft; her daughter, G. June (John) De Jong and Lynda (Ray) Fenwick; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Iona was the primary organizer of many family events. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Iona will be missed by all who loved and knew her. The family would like to thank all the staff at James Bay Care Centre for all of their kind care and support over the years.

Funeral Services will be held in MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 2:30 pm with a reception to follow in the McCall’s Family Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victoria Hospice Foundation, 1510 Fort Street, Victoria, BC V8S 5J2. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
