Herbert Jennings, Oct 5, 1918 to Sept 25, 2009. Peacefully fell asleep in Christ on Friday, September 25, now awaiting the resurrection. Survived by his four children, Beth (Gordon) Dangerfield, Don (Claire) Jennings, Nancy Gunville, Becki (Greg) Bennett; 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and other relatives.
The family extends our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated, caring staff at Joan Crescent Manor and Oak Bay Kiwanis Pavilion, who provided care and support for Dad over the past few years; to Dr. Kier MacMillan for his years of medical help and support, and to the companions from Super Services for Seniors whose time with Dad added spark to his days.
Funeral is to be held, God willing, on Monday, October 5; arrangements as follows — please note the unusual order of events and that ALL are welcome:
Graveside service at 1:00 pm at Hatley Memorial Gardens (near the entrance), 2050 Sooke Rd, Victoria, BC, followed by the memorial service at 2:30 pm at the Christadelphian Hall, 1396 McKenzie Avenue, Victoria, with light refreshments immediately after the service.
Donations in Herb’s memory may be made to the Christadelphian Bible Mission Canada, c/o1396 McKenzie Avenue, Victoria, BC V8P 2M3, or to the Oak Bay Kiwanis Pavilion Foundation at 3034 Cedar Hill Road, Victoria, BC V8T 3J3.

    Fran and I send our deepest condolences to the Jennings family at this time. I was fortunate to have Herb as a mentor in my early days in Gordon Head. He was a very special person. I have fond memories that will last forever about the Jennings family. We still have Herb’s little red tractor in the family. It will now mean even more to us.
