It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister Helena Achadinha. She passed away into God’s loving hands on July 15th, 2015. She was born in Victoria B.C. on June 7th,1966. She is predeceased by our father Isaias in 1991, and our mother Maria Almerinda Achadinha in 2008. She is survived by her loving brother Dimas (Elizabeth), and loving sister Julie (Ken). She leaves behind her loving nephews David and Justin. Helena enjoyed a very full life. She lived at home with her family until 1994. She then moved into a group home. She enjoyed her visits with our mom and with family. She developed a fondness for hockey and enjoyed attending hockey games. She enjoyed dinners out where she enjoyed cheeseburgers. She also loved her coffee, her cheesies and especially, loved her hotdogs. She was a fighter who lived life to the fullest. She was smart, funny, and loved to give big hugs and loved to hold your hand. Everyone will miss her belly laughs! Helena spent her last years in the care of Royal Oak house. Our family would like to thank the staff for their amazing care of Helena. We would like to give a big thank you to Jennifer Johnson and Heather Gilker who truly loved and cared for our sister way beyond the call of duty!! Helena was able to enjoy doing many things because of these two amazing women. We were very blessed to have these women in my sister’s life. We believe our sister is in a better place. She is in heaven where she lives in perfect health and peace and she is reunited with our mom. It is not goodbye but rather until we meet again!

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 24th, 2015 at 1:00pm at SEQUOIA GARDENS MEMORIAL, 4665 Falaise Drive. Condolences may be offered at www.mccallbros.com
