With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Beryl in her 105th year. Born and raised in Creelman, Saskatchewan, she married in 1931 and moved to Regina and subsequently to Victoria in 1953. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis (Major retired). She leaves to mourn, her son, Barry (Theresa); her daughters, Claire Steen and Frances Calderwood; 9 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. A life well lived!
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2964 Tillicum Road in Victoria. Reception in church hall to follow. Private family interment at a later date at Royal Oak Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Dear Fran and Clare: Those of us who remember you, and your Mom & Dad, through many years going back to Craigflower, were saddened to read about your mother. You were fortunate to have her with you to the age of 105, and she is among the last of the parents of that “great generation”. We have also placed a note in the Legacy Guest Book through the Times-Colonist website.
I can metaphorically say that Beryl will now be serenaded once again by Frank’s fine voice, “singing with the angels”.
